The company specializes in providing food to more than 15,000 nationally franchised restaurants, including Arby's, Burger King, Captain D's, Chick-fil-A, and Darden Restaurants (which runs Red Lobster and Olive Garden). As part of its business, MBM fills both domestic and overseas customer orders through a nationwide network of nearly 40 distribution centers in nearly 20 states. J. R. Wordsworth founded MBM in 1947 as a retail food distributor. The company was acquired in 2012 by Texas-based rival McLane.
